After looking at a side by side comparison of the two intake system alternatives, it’s no wonder the Independent Scientific Technical Advisory Panel (ISTAP) decided the subsurface infiltration gallery seawater intake system was infeasible.  Poseidon has resubmitted its application using the existing pipeline infrastructure that goes out into the ocean today.
